According to reports, PSG star Ousmane Dembele was pelted with plastic cups and lighters by some Bayern Munich fans while preparing to take a corner kick in the 34th minute. The incident occurred right in front of the home team’s stands at the Allianz Arena. Despite being affected by the fans’ actions, Dembele remained calm and continued playing.
The French striker opened the scoring for PSG in this match. Following a rapid counter-attack by the Ligue 1 side, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia provided a perfect assist for Dembele to finish and find the back of the net against Bayern.
The German team then pressed hard in an attempt to find an equalizer, but the PSG defense played very solidly. It wasn’t until the 90+4th minute that Harry Kane scored to level the score at 1-1 for Bayern.
However, the draw was not enough to help Vincent Kompany’s team advance. Bayern were eliminated with an aggregate score of 5-6 after two legs, while PSG secured their place in the Champions League final for the second consecutive season.
