Monza coach Raffaele Palladino was happy after their 1-1 draw with Lazio.
Palladino says they can be happy with the point.
He said: “We played a great game, both in possession and non-possession phases. We went down straight away but I liked the team’s reaction. We needed a great performance against a great team, beyond the points, we needed awareness.
“The boys came away exhausted, it wasn’t easy. Maybe we lacked a bit more conviction in the final part.”
He also said: “Lazio will have a great championship. More than their demerits, I want to underline our merits.
“The draw with Atletico boosted morale. We were afraid of the enthusiasm they might have today. We have a clear identity and we manage to put teams that close in on themselves, like Lazio, in difficulty.”
