Newcastle United star Sandro Tonali has been excluded from Italy’s squad for the upcoming tie against Ukraine and he is expected to miss the game against Milan next week.
La Gazzetta dello Sport today have provided some details about the situation of the midfielder, who will not play against Ukraine later today. The expectation now is that the ex-Milan man will not play for the Magpies in their upcoming Champions League group stage tie against the Rossoneri in what is expected to be a massive moment in the club’s recent history. Tonali had joined Newcastle United from Milan only some months ago in a big-money move to Tyneside.
Yesterday the former Rossoneri midfielder underwent medical tests at the Columbus clinic in Milan, after which the injury came to the surface. Newcastle have already been notified and at this point, more information about the injury is awaited but the expectation is that Tonali will be monitored on a day-by-day basis.
