I’ve been going through football games for about 4 years now. I just had no idea that I’d develop my prediction abilities through anything other than sports betting because you never know, right.

Played a crappy month. Then my predictions were west up and off, and margins for the accuracy were too enormous, plummeting from 67% to 41% in 8 days and I was not able to determine what the problem was. It was mechanical and all artificial. But then I did something crazy. Originally, he started playing  aviator bet before his morning cup of coffee at 6:30 am, before getting into match analysis.

Sounds random. But something clicked.

The Pattern Recognition Connection

The idea behind crash games is very simple: players are shown a multiplier growing from 1.00x and are forced to cash out before the crash occurs. May go under or go up to 1.23x and 47.89x, and never sure what comes next, but patterns are formed in my decision-making under pressure.

I realised something at that time. This is exactly the type of calculation I do when I’m watching a team’s numbers, such as Manchester City’s 6 points in 2 games this season. Constantly balance and assess the risk of harm vs potential gain. Considering whether or not to make a prediction at this time or allow more data to develop.

Most people attempt to do football forecasting like they’re on a strictly adhered to script. Last time, Team A squared off Team B and its destruction was confirmed, which means that Team A wins without being contested. Super linear and forgets about momentum. However, games are not scripted and crash games are not scripted.

What Changed in My Approach

I told myself that I would not get to my spreadsheets until after I had done the crash games for 23 minutes every morning.I made a decision that I would start playing crash games before I would do anything with my spreadsheets each morning for 23 minutes. Not playing the game hard – placing individual caps at a fixed $12 amount each day, but using my mind to become quicker at exploiting patterns and instincts.

After two weeks, my accuracy began to rise and get to 58%. Then 63%. I’m nailed on 71% of my last 84 predictions and man, that seems impossible to me.

Crash Games encouraged you to think about the situation as it unfolded, avoiding falling into the overthinking rabbit hole. In football analysis, there is always too much information to process, with possession percentage, xG scores, injuries, the weather, referee information, and more. If it’s just a situtation where you have to go with your gut.

The Mental Training Nobody Talks About

Barcelona were 9 points ahead of Real Madrid after 3 games in La Liga so it was already a two-horse race. But I’m being coached to extract myself from situations where it’s a self-evident truth versus where it’s just a story trap. Through playing pattern games in the crash, these have taught me that sometimes the multiplier is not logical in its jumps and extends through areas one would expect it to have peaked.

Don’t think you’ll become a great analyst by simply watching or playing crash games. They did something for me that 200+ hours of studying tactics couldn’t just do. Comforted me in my sitting, uncertainties. Helped me to categorically make predictions when I see what happens inside my window.

You can spend so much time analysing Haaland’s 2 goals in 2 games that you spend all your time in the back seat and ride his buzzer. That rule applies to both projecting a game outcome and bullSTAT at 3.47x: that’s how they become rich.

I still do good homework just the same. Don’t skip a single team report and form table! But now I have become more of a believer in what my instincts are telling me when they’re shouting at me, and that’s where it makes all the difference.
